Before You Pay
We do not require payment until your proof is approved. If you would like your door hanger designed by our professional graphic artist, please go to our "Contact Us" page and email or fax us your logo (if you have one) and the info for the door hanger. We will design the door hanger and send you a proof - typically within 24 hours or less.

Submitting Your Camera-Ready Artwork

Although Doorhangers Etc. offers free typesetting and design, some do-it-yourselfers prefer to submit their own artwork. For your artwork to be considered "camera ready" it must be completely ready to go to printing plates and press. The following is a list of guidelines to help you prepare your artwork.

Design Software & Programs

At Doorhangers Etc we will accept your artwork in just about any file format including: Adobe PageMaker, Corel Draw, Adobe Acrobat PDF, Adobe PhotoShop, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Microsoft Publisher and Microsoft Word.

Color Separations

If your artwork uses more than 1 color, the colors must be defined as PMS Pantone colors. Full color photos, color defined as RGB or CMYK will not separate to create your 2-color piece.

Margins, Gutters and Print Area

The diagram above demonstrates the print area for door hangers. (1) Represents the outside margins, which must be at least 3/8 of an inch. (2) The top and bottom margins must also be at least 3/8 of an inch. (3) The gutter area between the two door hangers must be double the outside margins. If your outside margins are 3/8" the gutter will be 3/4 so the margins will be equal when cut apart. If you artwork is not a door hanger or does not need to be cut apart, you do not need a gutter or hole space. The entire area inside of the top and bottom marin becomes your print area. (4) For your door hanger, you must leave 1 1/2 inches of white space at the top to accomodate the hole.

Digital Files with Fonts and Graphics

We may not always have the same fonts as you do. You may have to send the font along with your digital file. You will also need to send any graphics/clip art embedded in your file. The graphics should be .tif, .eps, .jpg at at least 300dpi resolution.

We have 14 standard colors to choose from. We can also match your PMS Pantone color for an additional charge. The swatches below are to give an appoximation of the color however web colors cannot exactly represent the ink color. Color appearance will also vary by monitor.
